  1. Commercial-having to do with business or trade
  2. Commodity-a useful product or service
  3. Contrite-feeling deeply sorry for having sinned
  4. Conceit-pride
  5. Condemn-to declare guilty; to sentence
  6. Condescend-to come down to another's mental or social level
  7. Deficiency-shortage; inadequacy
  8. Autoimmune-the immune system's attack on the body
  9. Bibliography-a list of books and articles on a particular subject
  10. Inoculate-to inject a vaccine into a living organism to prevent disease

  3. Enveloped- wrap up, cover, or surround completely
  4. Celestial- pertaining to the sky or visible heaven

Thank you!!!

This year is off to a great start!! Thank you, THANK YOU parents for supporting DRCS!! And thank you to those of you who made it to our first fundraising meeting tonight!! It is difficult for everyone's busy schedules to coordinate all of the many events we have at the school, so thank you for coming!! I know that not everyone could make it this time, and we understand!  Please feel free to message me if you have questions or need information from tonight's meeting. Thank you for all you do :-)

Back To School Night!!

Don't forget!! Back To School night is TONIGHT at 7 p.m.!!! I am very excited to meet my new students and parents!  I look forward to another wonderful year at D.R.C.S.!  Thank you, parents, students, and staff for making this all possible.  It is such a blessing that I get to come in everyday and teach at such a wonderful school.  Please join me in praying for our year to go smoothly and for the students to learn all that God has to teach them this year!!

          Summer is almost over!!  I hope that you have all been finishing up your Summer Reading Projects!!! Thank you to those who have already turned in their wonderful assignments.  In case you were wondering what your teacher has been up to this summer, here is a sneak preview of the project that I have undertaken to make our classroom and entire school year all about books and what we can learn from them!!

Happy 180th Birthday, John Venn!!!

Here are a few fun diagrams to celebrate the creator of the Venn diagram!!  
Venn, an English logician and philosopher, is noted for introducing the Venn diagram, used in the fields of set theory, probability, logic, statistics, and computer science.  nowadays, we have a more refined use for the Venn diagram, as seen below.
