Welcome to the sixth Grade! What an exciting year we have in store. Not only will we be immersed in fascinating subjects, but we will also take numerous fieldtrips and learn more about God and his love for mankind.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jessica Barr and I will be your child’s Sixth Grade teacher this year. I am an avid reader and a major champion of books and what power they hold. I am happily married to Justin Barr, my best friend, and the worship pastor at Grace Church. This is my seventh year as a teacher at Del Rosa Christian and I look forward to many years to come. I graduated with a Liberal Studies Degree at California State University San Bernardino with a concentration in English. Teaching has always been my passion and ideal occupation: I love working with children, teaching them new things, and most of all I love teaching about our faith. Myself along with Mr. Williams, Mr. Thompson, and Mrs. Orellana, wish to you the best and most fruitful sixth grade year. We each have a passion for teaching that stems from our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the best possible example of a teacher and our ultimate role model. I hope to show his love and quality in my teaching and in every subject that we learn about here at Del Rosa Christian.

It is with great excitement that I welcome you into this year’s sixth grade class! I am eager to see what wondrous things God has in store for us this year, and I look forward to exploring new places, discovering new ideas, and growing more academically and spiritually.
