  1. prodigy- a marvel, especially a child with amazing talent or genius
  2. procrastinate- to put off doing
  3. profession- the act of claiming a belief before the public
  4. righteousness- upright conduct; virtue
  5. frankness- the act of speaking plainly and truthfully regardless of others opinions
  6. idleness- the state of having nothing to do; laziness
  7. offensiveness- the state of being disagreeable; disgusting in action
  8. journalist- one who reports the news
  9. economist- one who knows much about financial affairs
  10. covetous- greedy
  11. etiquette- manners
  12. hazard- peril
  13. consequence- effect
  14. substantial- considerable
  15. vanity- conceit
Reading Vocabulary:
  1. cistern- water collection device
  2. pantomime- to act out using only gestures and movement; silently perform
  3. chivalry- knightly or gentlemanly qualities
  4. muddled- mixed up or confused

  7. epitaph- a short tribute to a person; an inscription on a tomb
  8. epitome- an ideal representative
  9. episode- a happening in real life or in a story

  12. virtuous- good; pure; upright
